Top 10 Most Expensive Domain Names in the World

Tuesday, August 30th 2011. | Technology

Domain names can cost as little as $2. But if they’re highly desirable, they can be sold for millions. Just because these were purchased for tons of money doesn’t mean that they get tons of traffic. Many of the sites don’t even rank on Quantcast or Comscore. Unless the plan is to buy and hold (which in most cases, it is), many of these purchases seem like huge wastes of money. Below is 10 most expensive domain name in the world.

It appears that Candy.com has the very best intentions to take all of their customers back to that time in their lives when getting lost in a candy store was a dream come true! With their incredible selection of chocolates, hard candies, bulk candy and more, you’ll be wowed by their product ranges. They have been designed to be bigger, better and even more well-rounded than those corner candy stores of days gone by. With a very large database of products that we were very impressed with, this online sweet shop was really starting to tick all the boxes. Being from the UK, we miss having those special candy treats such as Nerds, Tootsie Rolls, etc, they we were able to purchase back in the day. Browsing through all of these items was so nice, so even we were like kids in a sweet shop!

While many of the brick and mortar stores we patronize every day carry shoes, due to space limitations, they often don’t carry the widest selection of sizes and styles.
